We are all very familiar with software tools, we use them all the time. We are aware of their pitfalls. Too often they seem to be designed for some generic circumstances that don’t exist. Alternatively they are just too complicated, incorporating every bit of functionality that anyone could ever need. Or else they are designed around a specific mechanistic worldview that just doesn’t mirror reality.
